Due to unprecedented growth, Avoka is seeking a technically proficient Business Development & Sales Executive based in Washington D.C. In this critical and newly-created role you will maximize existing opportunities and create new opportunities in the Federal, State/Local, and Commercial sectors.
As the Business Development & Sales Executive you will leverage your experience in delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions for government and commercial organizations with your extensive network of business relationships at senior levels. A proven track record of developing key strategic relationships, along with hands-on technical knowledge (often acting as the bridge between business and IT functions) will ensure success in this role.
Your prime responsibility will be to understand the business needs of our clients and match and promote our solutions and products to their needs. You must also be able to align our products and services to prospective clients by tailoring solution designs, business proposals and implementation plans. You will develop solutions that achieve returns on investments for our clients as well as improve softer measures such as client satisfaction, service delivery and IT improvements. From a Business Development perspective you will need to be able to identify and form alliances with strategic Systems Integration firms and manage joint bids on specific projects.
Requirements critical for success in this role:
- A solid background and experience in application development, business process automation and business analysis
- Business development experience with BPM Solutions and/or Application Development Platforms from BEA, Oracle or IBM
- An ability to identify and articulate complex technical solutions in a way that caters to the needs of key stakeholders
- Outstanding communication skills and confidence to perform technical sales presentations and demonstrations to large government and commercial organizations
- An existing network of strong business relationships within US government and commercial entities
Preferred technical experience:
- Workflow/Process Management Systems
- Electronic Forms
- Process automation solutions/software development
- Technically adept knowledge of Adobe LiveCycle
